Your Health Depends on Answers - Not Prescriptions

What counts now, with the advent of Obamacare in action, is your ability to direct  your own health care with providers you trust.  Doctors have less leeway and must follow protocols  dictated by the big government recipes.  When there is a recommendation that varies from the routine of “this complaint = this drug”, you and your doctor will have to fight for the right to select another route.  Remember, the cheapest way to treat health problems is to prescribe a drug.  It is cheap.
The DSM V for emotional problems is expanded and deserves your attention.  You do not want to talk with doctors about social problems or emotional problems and life situations, do not.  They are the last group to go to for advice, they are trained in physical health.  They have no formal training in nutrition.  If you have a troubled child you need to research the actual results of the care in the hands of psychiatry or family medicine.  The field of psychiatry “treats” kids in trouble and when the treatments result in a crazed act of violence they rush in to “treat” the victims that are left to pick up the pieces.  They create their own patients.  When the violence is not enough in the world around them to generate the income they need, they decide a child whose parents and school have failed at teaching them how to read is a mental patient and needs treatment, a drug.  The fraud in medicine continues.  In the DSM IV code 315.00 Reading Disorder, 315.1 Mathematics Disorder, and, of course, 315.2 Disorder of Written Expression are money makers for family physicians who prescribe psyche drugs and the psyches.  School fails to educate students, parents fail to make sure their kids are succeeding and we have a cash cow for the psyches.

A child who has been unable to read, write and do math at a level expected for their age is now insured of failure because the drugs they take give them side-affects like inability to sleep, bed wetting, stunted growth and heart problems.  These are people whose internal organs and brain are still developing and they should be growing like weeds.  Tell me this is not big business making money off of our misfortune.

If you have few resources, if you are under the influence of the system; realize that free care, handouts, and government programs stifle self-reliance, initiative and worse, you can be made mad for life if you get into the wrong hands.  Happy living only happens when you make a difference somewhere, somehow.  If no one needs your help, if you are not setting and reaching goals the emptiness of government-run health care and other programs does not build self-esteem, it destroys it.

There are many doctors who practice sane medical care and help their patients a great deal.  They wonder why someone has headaches, can’t sleep or has poor digestion or bad circulation.  They do not jump in with the latest drug recommended for that symptom.  They wonder why.  They so searching diagnostics.  If you have migraines why take a pain-killer?  Does the pain-killer handle the reason you have headaches?  It does nothing if the reason is your unbalanced hormones or your lack of magnesium or your subluxation.  See?  You need to wonder why and you need to insist your doctors have discovered the basic problems.  When you handle the cause your symptoms vanish and you have no need for drugs.  There is not one drug your body has a shortage of.   They are all toxic to one degree or another.

Resorting to Drugs...

There are so many people who take street drugs and medical drugs thinking it will be for a short while and wind up long down the road with health problems they never dreamed of.  Addiction is just part of the problem.  Damage from free radicals, which are the stock in trade of chemicals, all chemicals, do something to your health.  Combined with pesticides and chemicals in the food we eat someone with a drug problem gets a double whammy.
If you stopped taking meds or street drugs you can benefit by the things we do in our clinic and if you cannot come to see us you can do this; recognize you have health problems apart from just the cravings of drugs.  You crave drugs because traces are still in your body and often dump into your blood stream causing the cravings some  people cannot resist…more drugs is their answer.  But how about this idea… if you feel ill or crave drugs go for  a long walk, a good walk and look at your environment, really look at it.   When you get back drink a big glass of water and make yourself something to eat that is fresh, from scratch that did not come out of a box.

Free radical damage from whatever source either crowds out vitamins and minerals from doing their health building work or depletes them so badly you have nothing available for normal function.  Either way you are in trouble.  Mood swings, depression, belly aches, headaches all stem from this or are made worse by the fact that you are starving.  STARVING.  Your weight has nothing to do with it.  You are nutrient depleted.  Find a good absorbable vitamin and mineral program and rebuild your health.  While you are learning make food from scratch with a good cookbook and walking everyday and drinking water to help your body shed some of the drug residues you need to find a doctor who can help you in the way that we do in our clinic.  Doctors interested in health are available in most cities or close by.  Check out our website for some ideas about what you can expect and look for the sauna detoxification program if you think you are in trouble enough to worry about reverting to drugs again.  We help people reverse the accumulation of chemicals and drugs.

I was watching videos of some fabulous horses this morning thinking about the two Peruvian Pasos I have loved and who died over the last few years.  For me and many others the sight of a horse doing anything is a high and some of  the videos on-line are so inspiring and beautiful.  When my horses died I was struck by how much these wonderful horses mean to us, for weeks and some months later I would almost turn up the lane to feed them at the barn.  Feeling depressed is normal when things happen in life and I am always grateful for the love of my horses and to have experienced all they gave us over the years, better for me to have loved and lost than not to have loved in the first place.  I am disgusted by the “medical care” that offers drugs in place of remembering and being grateful and shedding a depressed, lonesome tear once in awhile over a loss in life.  It is so much more meaningful to really feel good and really feel bad, I know I am alive and in the game for real, no matter what.  I like it that way.  I want to help others who are made wooden and apathetic by being drugged.  I want to forward the message of true health care free from mind altering drugs because I value emotion and clear thinking.  I want you to feel alive.

Like It Is With Most Things...Fix the Right Thing and It All Changes

If the power company has a power outage in your area you will not return to full power by changing a light bulb.  If your brakes are out on your car changing the oil will not help.  If your house is a mess it will not improve if you take a walk.  If you have headaches constantly it may be “all in your head” but taking a psyche drug does not handle it.  If you have a medical condition taking a drug for it will not solve the reason you have it, but it may mask the symptoms.  Taking a drug for depression will not handle the fact that your family member has died.
Health care needs to change but not in the ways proposed by the government.  If you have high blood pressure taking a drug to control it does not solve the problem;  the reason it is high is undiscovered.  Having your blood pressure checked is not preventive medicine but taking action to avoid developing high blood pressure in the first place is prevention.

The thing you could concentrate on is demanding doctors and other health care workers discover WHY something is what it is and fix that!  Find the cause of your health problems.  Do not accept any masking treatment protocols but rather insist on getting help to find the cause.

Here are some startling facts provided by Grace E Jackson, MD in a 2010 presentation entitled “Psychiatric Drugs“  based on her experiences while employed as a clinician and Medical Director within several agencies that deliver publicly funded services to the mentally ill.   She cites  The Department of Veteran Affairs comparison of death rates of demented veterans who avoided psychiatric drugs to those who took newer antipsychotic medication or old “conventional” antipsychotic medication.  Of 12,821 patients who avoided these medications  18% died within one year.  Of the 10,615  veterans who experienced treatment with antipsychotic drugs the outcome was  quite different;  23%  of veterans died within 1 year who took newer antipsychotic meds, 25% of veterans who took older antipsychotic meds died within 1 year and 29% of those who took both (sequentially or concurrently) died within one year.

The United States comprises 4.5% of the world’s population but consumes 90% of the stimulant sales, 63% of the antipsychotics, 51% of the antidepressants.  Our enemies will have an easy time of it because drugs cause apathy, inaction and disinterest in life by the user.

What about the deaths caused by properly prescribed medications? Dr. Barbara Starfield, in an article in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) 2000, pointed out that her research estimated the adverse effects of medication taken exactly as prescribed resulted in 106,000 inpatient deaths due to the pharmaceuticals and 199,000 outpatient deaths due to pharmaceuticals EACH YEAR.  In 2006 there were 629,191 deaths in the US attributed to cardiac disease, 560,102 due to cancer and 305,000 due to adverse drug reactions.  There is not a physician in existence that could possibly predict which of his patients are going to die due to a properly prescribed pharmaceutical drug.  Some doctors are not willing to live with that.  Some doctors have decided to look for other ways to help patients.  When you minimize prescription use you have to find out what CAUSES a patient to have a problem and then,  addressing that cause, you can figure out what the body is missing resulting in poor health or you can figure out what toxin is causing the difficulty.  It is not glamorous to talk to patients about their diet and exercise habits, it is not glamorous to prescribe nutrients to handle deficiencies but guess what… it avoids unnecessary complications and patients like it when they get better.  It is simple when someone breaks a leg to make the right recommendations to heal the leg, it is obvious what needs to be done when someone is pregnant, it is obvious to decide what to do when someone is in a car wreck and requires surgery but those solutions do not work for the common everyday chronic health problems like digestive disorders, fatigue, headaches, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis…. and on and on.  Those problems are chronic, complex and deserve a comprehensive evaluation that is unique for that patient and results in clear paths to solutions and the alleviation of the problem.  Yep, restoring circulation and wiping out aches and pain and increasing energy are things any conscientious doctor can help you with.

We need real health care and real health care reform and we are not going to see effective medical care until we demand it.  It will take the public outcry to change any of this so start talking if you care.  You know, organic food did not magically appear in the grocery stores, it was demanded by enough of us for someone to finally listen and then competition took over.  Competition for your interest and your health care dollars will change America for the better so start talking about what you want.

Psychiatric Fads and Overdiagnosis | Psychology Today.   This important article is a must for family health.  Please take a moment to read it and pass it along to all your friends and family.  The only way you and those you love with avoid unneccessary drugging and labels whether young or old is to advocate for yourself.  Make sure you do not accept pharmaceutical drugs for life’s problems, they make you less able not more able.  Whether a child or one of elderly, trapped in situations where they rely on your care because they have no voice of their own, the need is strong to have someone with knowledge of pitfalls of medicine to care for them and represent them when in doctors offices, nursing homes, or hospitals.
