Ep 141 - Connection Between Heart Disease and Antibiotics

Is there a connection between heart disease and antibiotics? If you’re prescribed certain antibiotics and you already have a cardiovascular problem, you may want to reconsider.

Fluoroquinolones are antibiotics that are commonly used to treat a variety of illnesses such as respiratory and urinary tract infections. These medicines include ciprofloxacin (Cipro), gemifloxacin (Factive), levofloxacin (Levaquin), moxifloxacin (Avelox), norfloxacin (Noroxin), and ofloxacin (Floxin). Some of these have been shown to cause damage to muscles, joints, tendons, and the central nervous system.

Ep 126 - The End of Heart Disease

According to a study from US News and World Report back in 2003, heart disease was supposed to be eradicated by now.

It doesn’t matter whether you have coronary artery disease, peripheral vascular disease, carotid artery disease, or any other type of vascular disease. The treatment might be different, but the disease process is the same.

Dr Maulfair discusses the findings of a study from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) on chelation therapy and how it has been found to be very effective in reducing the risk of heart attacks and strokes. This is especially true with patients that have already had a heart attack or already have diabetes.
