We have a way to save health care dollars by staying healthy.  Avoiding the usual treatment for symptoms, pharmaceuticals, is a great place to start.  You need to find doctors who agree with not turning to drug therapy until other measures have been exhausted – so it really starts with you.
It is so hard to face the fact that we are causing our own disease.  First, we live a lifestyle with some aspects that make us sick.  We also believe what our doctors say which may not be so bright.  Where are they getting their information?  Do they know anything about how to stay healthy?  I have had women tell me their surgeons, at the time of breast cancer surgery, tell them to stay away from pesticides.  Has your doctor ever told you that before you develop cancer? 

What to do?  Start some research with a little of your spare time.  Look into the ingredients in processed foods.  Find videos describing how your food is made.  Find a glossary for ingredients and food additives and get a good dictionary to help you discover the things in your food.  Why does exercise help?  Where are chemicals stored?  Do nutrient supplements work and are they absorbed orally?  Avoid artificial sweeteners at all costs.  Bad stuff.  The business is so powerful the truth never comes out when we need it, they just eliminated most sugared soft drinks in school machines.  The exact opposite of what should have been done.  What are the machines doing in schools in the first place?  They bring the school additional revenues.  Children gain weight because artificial food additives and sweeteners cause weight gain.  Sugared soft drinks are safer than artificially sweetened drinks.

Even though we deal with these issues daily I learned something from the film “Food,Inc.”;  I found out an additive is mixed in with hamburger that has ammonia in it because the ammonia kills a certain e coli bacteria present in most hamburger.  This additive is a filler.   That did it for me.  Fresh organic burger is an even better idea than I originally thought.  Organic for sure!

We were able to bring a good amount of organic foods to the supermarket because we, the public, asked for them.  That is why they are there.  What would happen if you asked at your favorite restaurant if any selections on the menu were organic?  That would help.   Supporting your local organic growers is very important.  You can find a great deal of the foods you need each week right in your neighborhood if you live outside the cities.  Try it.

Educate yourself about good oils and which ones to consume.  Avoid canola, corn and soy, yep, soy products are nearly all GMO foods.  You need an abundance of fat to keep your weight down.  You body needs it.  There are lots of lies regarding fat consumption and cholesterol.  Check out our earlier blog entries.  Our best advice is get active with exercise and get active in your research of contaminant sources and clean food sources.  It will work, you will feel and be better.

Your Health and Health Care Reform

Now that health care reform legislation has had some time to digest let’s talk about what we can do.  There will be massive changes in the way you think about your health care and you can start now.  Some people will form membership groups and hire physicians directly.  It is a good idea.  We already have medical tourism and as odd as it may sound to some, the results have been great.  Some US physicians fly with their patients to locations where there are hospitals and the patients bring their families and undergo medical treatment while on holiday in great island locations.  This will become more familiar as people realize they are not going to be approved for some procedures they want as they age.  It already happens that people are told they cannot have procedure they want because they are too old and it isn’t covered.
Apart from those dire scenes there are active interesting things you can do now so you never need heroic medical care.  Bypass surgeries and stents and all that stainless steel will be unnecessary, unneeded if you start taking care of yourself.  Actually it really takes three major actions to insure  healthy aging.  All reducing the reasons people are ill in the first place.  Look to these basics, these fundamentals and you will thrive in your later years while avoiding government health care solutions.

Find a doctor who will help you determine your heavy metal load.  Tiny bits of lead contribute to high blood pressure and heart problems.  Get on  a preventive chelation therapy program.  That is, a comprehensive intravenous chelation program.  Make sure any doctor you go replenishes the nutrient minerals taken out with the chelation treatment.  Sadly, some doctors do not recommend the minerals and other nutrients that are essential in a proper program.  When you reduce heavy metals you eliminate the reason most heart problems are heart problems; you can visit our website to request more data.

Make sure you lower the levels of past street drugs or medical drugs you may have taken and environmental chemicals like pesticides, food additives and artificial ingredients because these can really mess you up.  A comprehensive sauna detoxification program markedly lowers the levels of these substances and prevents neurological problems like Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic headaches and a host of other ailments.

If you are lowering your heavy metals, reducing the chemical contaminates you carry around, and rebuilding your digestive system you just need a few more things to keep you in good shape.  High grade fresh and organic foods with no additives.  Fresh foods eaten raw or prepared properly in a smart restaurant or at home.  You need to enjoy your food and enjoy the simple things like walks in fresh air and then add the many self-help modalities you are interested in.  There are many that contribute to a very happy life indeed.  You may need bio-identical hormone replacement as you age. 

Happy lives are lived by healthy people who do not need to look to some government-run program to tell them what to do with their health concerns.  I cannot wait to look around in ten years to all my friends who are well and happy and escaping the dire ends predicted by the country’s “experts” with new ways to deliver disease care.

Are Your Vitamin Supplements and Herbs or Amino Acids Dangerous?

In a short article in the Townsend Letter, April 2010, there is the shocking information that in 2008 report (most recent data available) of the US National Poison Data System published in the journal Clinical Toxicology shows zero deaths from multiple vitamins, zero deaths from any of the B vitamins, zero deaths from vitamins A, C, D, or E and zero deaths from any other vitamin.  No deaths from amino acids or herbal products and zero deaths from dietary mineral supplements.
Here is the real story they reported;  “Over half of the US population takes daily nutritional supplements.  If each one of those people took only one single tablet daily, that makes 154,000,000 individual doses per day, for a total of over 56 billion doses annually.” People take more than one vitamin a day.  According to the FDA and news media these are dangerous pills.  OR…. could it be these facts are dangerous to the drug companies bottom line? 

Each of us needs to dedicate the next year to seeking the truth on subjects we are concerned with.  We need to set the example of truth in data and utterances and perhaps our government and its agencies will catch on, you know your behavior is contagious.  Good or bad.

Contrast this information with all the deaths attributed to the correct prescription use of pharmaceutical drugs, not to mention the incorrect use, and I am going to stick with my supplements, organic foods and enjoy the production and extra time I create with my health.

Health Care Disarray

We will endure many more months of uncertainty and confusion on the health care front.  As employers decide how the new law will affect them, and doctors decide what they are going to do, we will feel the unsettling aspects of this disorderly and ignorant legislation.  If you are interested in various aspects of  government health care our views are clear in our blog.
We know people have already been turned away from conscientious care in hospitals if they are medicare patients and “old”, “you have lived a good life” is the refrain.  Individual choice and family wishes are neglected.  He who pays says.  It has been true for years that covered drug rehabilitation is not rehabilitation, it is substituting a prescribed drug for a street drug because it is cheaper; it costs more to provide real help!  This and so much more will be routine and you will find treatments reduced to the cheapest, pharmaceuticals.  We will be an inactive, drugged nation in a few years…unless..

The only personal path is to stay healthy so you can escape all these pot holes of “choice” in your own care.  Being as healthy as you can will be the responsible path.  You know, we need to be working until the day we drop  so our taxes can pay for others.  The only way to fight back and escape the apathy that can set in when you lose your freedom is to do what you love and just keep being interested and active.  In the meantime do yourself a favor and study up on paths to excellent health and follow what you find.

For me that means taking my husbands’ advice and exercising more.  He tells me to slow down when I eat “because your stomach does not have teeth!“   A diet high in organic, nutrient dense foods is a must.  What we put in our mouth determines our health and it needs to be well chewed to digest properly.  Avoiding exposures to toxins is smart.  I will increase the frequency of my chelation program so I am continuing to remove the metals causing high blood pressure and more.  So join me in taking good care of yourself and your family and we will avoid visits to the doctor altogether.  If you find you need a doctor, seek out one like my husband who knows how to help you without pharmaceutical drugs.
